ONLINE: How to get your Research Published (for Postdoctoral Fellows and Senior PhD students only)

About the workshop

If you’re a researcher looking to get your work published in a journal, this interactive workshop is for you. We’ll cover guidance on planning and writing your article, choosing a journal, what happens when you submit your work, how to navigate through the peer review process, the importance of publishing ethics and integrity, and what to expect at each stage along the way. The workshop is part of the Author Engagement Programme which is provided through the Wiley-SANLiC publishing agreement, enabling researchers at SANLiC institutions to publish open access at no charge in Wiley and Hindawi journals.  More information about the Programme is available here.

What previous attendees have said about this workshop:

  • "The webinar provided clear steps on journal publications."
  • "It's just a useful introduction for me as am going to start learning about publications, I enjoyed it.'
  • "A lot of useful information was provided. Many of the points raised haven't been made common knowledge to new researchers and I am glad I attended the webinar. Publishing and finding an appropriate journal seem a bit less daunting now."
  • "Great overview of the research process. I found it helpful and inspiring to think about publishing while still in the research stage. Michael broke it down in such a way that the process does not feel so scary."
