IN PERSON & PARTICIPATIVE: Jumpstart your Presentation Skills (Natural and Physical Sciences, including Health and Engineering)

About this workshop

Presenting at any forum (conferences, thesis defence, lab meetings, seminars) can be a hugely stressful experience.  However, presenting is an art form and like any art, requires an approach and practice.

This workshop aims to allay your fears of presenting, by providing some meaningful insights by an experienced facilitator and encourage an approach that suits YOUR style.

The workshop will discuss the “practice” of presenting and embed “mock” presentations with helpful critique to enable presenters to gain personal confidence in presenting at any forum.

* Due to the nature of this workshop, as well as UCT being a contact university coupled with Covid restrictions easing, it is being offered in person in semester 2.
