The 2-hour online and participative workshop has been designed to stimulate the development of a vibrant intellectual community of mid-stream PhD students across disciplinary and institutional lines at UCT and to provide information pertinent to PhD students in their second year of study.

The topics to be discussed are:

• Managing your PhD project (Dr Gaelle Ramon, Researcher Development)
• Managing yourself through the PhD (Dr Gudrun Oberprieler, Researcher Development and Carol Sterling, Student Wellness Centre)
• Q&A (Prof Peter Meissner, Director of the Office for Postgraduate Studies and Researcher Development & Dr Gudrun Oberprieler)

We look forward to meeting many of you at the workshop and learning of your experiences as a postgraduate student at UCT.  This will be very helpful in future planning as we continue to examine ways in which the University can enhance the quality of the doctoral experience and extent of the support for PhDs on our Campus.
