ONLINE: Digital Scholar Series: Not just a pretty website: showcasing digital collections
In support of the nationwide lockdown and social distancing, the DLS team will not be holding face-to-face presentations as part of their Learning Lunches series, until further notice. Their presentations will all be available on the Open Science Framework (OSF) page - click here: https://osf.io/5avhm/.
DLS will also be updating the platform with their slides for the upcoming lectures.
About the Session
Presenting or showcasing data becomes as important as the way to find it. However, when showcasing collections of information, the organization of it becomes so much more important. Structuring the various files, images, and videos can make other researcher's navigation of your research much easier. We introduce you to UCT's ibali powered by Omeka-S which has the potential to publish and create exhibitions which are are linked and allow for infinite explorations.
