ONLINE: How to read an academic article in the Humanities and Social Sciences

Please note that this session has been moved from Tuesday 17 March 10h00 to Thursday 19 March 14h00. This session will now be offered via Skype (information will be sent to those who have booked).

If you signed up before 16 March and are interested please contact Ms Bastienne Klein on info@academicmentoring.co.za to be included in the session.

However, any further consultations outside of this session will be at your own cost.

This is an interactive workshop for any student wanting to fine tune their academic article reading skills.

In this workshop you are asked to bring along one peer reviewed academic article, electronic or printed version; also your laptop. Highlighters, pencil crayons are also useful if you are working with a printed version of an article or chapter.

The workshop will also give you a structure of how to set up your computer folders for writing your honours/masters/PhD thesis, using some of the information researched in the article earlier in the workshop. Learning this will also show you ways that you can avoid plagiarism.
