Writing a Teaching vision: An opportunity to critically reflect on teaching [for postdoctoral fellows] Day 1

Description:

Increasingly, aspiring academics are required reflect not only on their research plans but also to articulate their teaching visions or philosophy.

During this workshop, they will be introduced to five key questions which may shape their teaching philosophy statement. After the workshop, they may choose to share their teaching philosophy statement for feedback.

Series description:

These sessions are designed for participants who are doing more extended teaching and who have more authority over the shape of a course or programme.

While these individuals may freely chose to attend the series designed for Masters and PhD students as well, the postdoctoral fellow workshops are likely to prove frustrating for someone still working at a tutor or occasional lecture level.
