About the workshop:

This session is intended for Master’s and PhD candidates across all faculties. As the MOU is a prerequisite for registration, it forms a critical part of the registration process and must be completed before your enrolment can be finalised.

During the session, we will unpack the purpose of the MOU, outline what needs to be completed, and address common challenges that may delay approval. The aim is to equip you with the knowledge and guidance needed to complete the process efficiently.

About the presenter

Rifqah Kahn, End User Support Officer, Student Systems Support

Rifqah Kahn holds a Bachelor of Social Science from UCT with majors in Psychology, Sociology and Public Administration. She also has a Masters in Organizations and Public Cultures from the University of Stellenbosch. She has worked at UCT since 2011; first at the Institute of Humanities in Africa until 2018 and then at the Archives and Public Cultures Initiative based in the Historical Studies Department. She is currently based in the Student Systems Support Department in the Office of the Registrar.

Ms Kahn is a humanities graduate with a multidisciplinary background spanning the education, development, and media sectors. She brings substantial experience in office administration, the design and delivery of educational programmes, radio broadcasting, and university systems support.
