HYBRID: Writing Effective Abstracts for Academic Success

About this workshop

A well-written abstract can determine whether your work is read, funded, or accepted. This workshop is aimed at building practical tools to craft effective abstracts for theses, publications, conference submissions, and funding applications, helping you clearly communicate the value and impact of your research. This session includes hands‑on abstract‑writing activities. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or writing materials, as well as a rough draft or initial idea for an abstract to work on.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

· Understand why abstracts matter for getting their research read, accepted, or funded.

· Write clear, concise abstracts that highlight the value and impact of their research.
