ONLINE: Building Your Researcher Profile, Capturing Research Outputs on eRA, and Understanding the UCT Publication Count

About this workshop

This workshop will cover two related topics which form an integral part of the electronic Research Administration (eRA) System.  They are:

Segment 1: Building your Researcher profile

  • Researchers can update their eRA profiles to display information related to their academic careers to enhance research visibility, searchability and impact. This includes capturing CV activities, research classifications as well as historical publications.
  • A well established, publicly visible profile can be viewed by site visitors, with the opportunity to attract potential collaborators in similar fields or across disciplines.

Segment 2 : An introduction to the UCT publication count process

  • Participants will gain a clear understanding of what qualifies for subsidy, when submissions take place, roles and responsibilities, the importance of accuracy for institutional reporting, and how UCT manages the process.
  • The session will also demonstrate how the eRA (Electronic Research Administration) system supports UCT’s DHET submissions.
