IN PERSON: UCT Postgraduate Day 2026

About the Event
The event, brought to you by the Office for Postgraduate Studies and the Postgraduate Funding Office, aims to:
- Introduce postgraduate students to the broad range of support services available to them.
- Offer postgraduate students the opportunity to engage directly with faculties, departments and research units in an interactive marketplace setting.
- Offer undergraduates who are considering postgraduate studies a window into what they can expect and how to prepare.
The day will feature an engaging line-up of information sessions, academic panel discussions, a faculty and support service marketplace, and interactive activities. The event is organised by the Directorate for Postgraduate Studies and Researcher Development and hosted across three venues on Upper Campus: the Richard Luyt Room and the Molly Blackburn Hall (as marketplace and for info sessions), as well as in the Ben Beinart Room (interdisciplinary panel discussions), all on level 2 in the Otto Beit Building next to Sarah Baartman Hall. The final programme will be shared in the coming week.
For those based at the Faculty of Health Sciences campus in Observatory, who are unable to travel to Upper campus, they are welcome to watch the livestream throughout the day in the Cafeteria, Wolfson Pavilion Foyer in the IDM Building and participate in several of the online, interactive activities.
Students and staff (who are not participating in the event) are requested to RSVP to attend so that we may gauge expected attendance, by either:
