IN PERSON: Postdoctoral Information and Development Session (2nd semester kick-starter)

 

The Office of Postgraduate Studies and Researcher Development will be hosting a second semester kick-starter Postdoctoral Information and Development Session on Thursday 25 July 2024. 

 

This hybrid event will be an adaptation of the Postdoc Induction Day held in March 2024, and is aimed at new and continuing Postdoctoral Researchers who would like to know more about administrative processes and capacity development initiatives taking place in the second semester (August to December), while also providing a networking and connection opportunity for the Postdoctoral Community.

 

Here is the draft programme for the morning - hosted in Hlanganani Junction (Main Library, Upper Campus) and online via MS Teams: 

  • 08h45 – Arrival, coffee
  • 09h00 – Welcome and intro activity 
  • 09h20 – Postdoc support presentations and Q&A 
  • 10h00 – The postdoc landscape at UCT 
  • 10h15 – Break
  • 10h30 – Capacity development activity 
  • 12h15 – Thanks, Networking and Lunch 
  • 13h00 – End
