ONLINE: PhD Breakaway (for mid-stream PhD students) Part Three
About this workshop
This is Part 3 of a 3-part online workshop series, designed to stimulate the development of a vibrant intellectual community of mid-stream PhD students across disciplinary and institutional lines at UCT and to provide information pertinent to PhD students in their second or third year of study.
The topics to be covered in this workshop are:
- Managing yourself through emotional ups and downs on the PhD journey
- Looking after your physical and mental health during the PhD journey (Student Wellness Services)
- Research integrity and responsible conduct of research – a primer (plagiarism, authorship, data integrity)
- Timeline of submitting the thesis (administrative processes)
We look forward to meeting many of you at the workshop and learning of your experiences as a postgraduate student at UCT. This will be very helpful in future planning as we continue to examine ways in which the University can enhance the quality of the doctoral experience and extent of the support for PhDs on our Campus.
