About this workshop

During this workshop we will explore scoping for funding opportunities, share essential advice and tips for putting together a successful grant application and; constructing a feasible project plan and budget. The session will be interactive and will include examples to work through.

NB: Attendance at this workshop is limited to Postdoctoral Fellows

 

About the presenters

Dr Dheshnie Keswell, Co-ordinator: Researcher Development, Research Office

PhD (Cell Biology), NRF Research Career Award Fellow and have been working in Researcher Development for more than 5 years.

 

Dr Amanda Claassen-Smithers, Co-ordinator: Researcher Development, Research Office

PhD (Exercise Science); Experience working in academia as well as private sector, while maintaining an active research & lecturing profile throughout; joined the UCT Researcher Development Academy in 2022.

 

Dr Alexandra Sutherland, Co-ordinator: Researcher Development, Research Office

PhD (Applied Theatre); 17 years as a full time academic; Active researcher and grant holder.
