About the workshop

If you’re a researcher looking to get your work published in a journal, this interactive workshop is for you. We’ll cover guidance on preparing your article, choosing a journal, what happens when you submit your work, how to navigate through the peer review process, the importance of publishing ethics and integrity, and what to expect at each stage along the way. The workshop is part of the Author Engagement Programme which is provided through the Wiley-SANLiC publishing agreement, enabling researchers at SANLiC institutions to publish open access at no charge in Wiley and Hindawi journals.

Michael has over 20 years of experience in research publishing and leads on Content and Delivery for the Wiley-SANLiC Author Engagement Programme.

* While the workshop is aimed at certain levels of study and faculties, anyone is welcome to join, as long as any stipulated requirements are met, such as participation and/or preparation.

 

Requirements

Preparation for the workshop	Bring along an abstract or draft for an article you’d like to submit for publication. Please also bring your own laptop.
Level of participation at the workshop	Participants will be expected to contribute verbally to discussion and give and receive feedback within the group.

 

Important to note

The workshop is limited to 30 Postdoctoral Fellows and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
